Getting tiles on roof.
I am doing a roof extension and need to get about 900 concrete roof tiles on top of the trusses to lay them.
A clay tile roof system can cost two to three times as much as an asphalt roofing system.
Obviously the cheapest but also the most physically taxing method is simply carrying the roofing materials by hand onto the roof.
This is offset though by the long life a tile roof will enjoy.
Concrete tile roofs are more economical with costs of 400 to 450 per square.
An average clay tile roof costs between 675 to 1400 per square 100 sf of roof area.
Slate tiles are by far the most expensive with average costs running between 1 000 and 4 000 per square.

Cedar shakes shingles.
Other than carrying them up a ladder in small batches is there an alternative way to get this done with less effort and faster.
Concrete clay roof tiles.
Gently pry the bars upward and remove the broken tile.
Tiles have a flat smooth surface so they don t offer a lot of grip when you step on them.
Getting on your roof safely 1 wait until the tiles are completely dry before getting on your roof.
To replace a tile slide a flat bar under the 2 tiles above the broken piece.
